The study concludes that the adoption of e-governance tools has positively transformed administrative processes, aligning with global trends in digital governance.
Abstract
This study examines the role of e-governance in enhancing administrative efficiency, transparency,
citizen participation, and data management within the Rivers State Ministry of Information
between 2014 and 2024. Anchored in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the research
investigates how perceived usefulness and ease of use affect the adoption and effectiveness of
digital platforms in public administration. The study employed a survey research design, targeting
a sample of 125 staff members, selected through purposive sampling from a population of 192.
Data were collected using a validated structured questionnaire based on a four-point Likert scale
and analyzed using percentage mean scores and standard deviation with the aid of SPSS. Findings
reveal that digitization of government processes significantly improves public service delivery.
Digital platforms were found to enhance transparency and accountability, reduce corruption, and
foster responsible resource management. Furthermore, e-governance tools were effective in
improving citizen engagement, participation, and communication with government agencies.
Additionally, improved data accessibility and management were shown to positively influence
decision-making and policy formulation. The study concludes that the adoption of e-governance
tools has positively transformed administrative processes, aligning with global trends in digital
governance. To sustain these gains, the study recommends expanding digitization efforts, auditing
and securing digital platforms, promoting citizen-inclusive governance through technology, and
investing in data infrastructure and capacity building. The Technology Acceptance Model
provided a useful framework for understanding the dynamics of e-governance adoption in a
developing public administration context.
The research investigated the implementation, effectiveness, and challenges of e-governance systems within the university's administrative framework and revealed that e-record systems and e-procurement significantly enhanced administrative efficiency, while e-communication and e-participation tools were largely ineffective.

This research investigates the impact of e-governance on administrative efficiency and service
delivery in Yenagoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. The primary objective was
to assess the impact of digital technology on the efficiency of local government administration in
the study area. This broad objective informed two interrelated specific objectives of evaluating the
challenges affecting the implementation of e-governance for administrative efficiency and
determining if e-governance wields a potential for enhancing service delivery in the study area.
Anchored on the theory of technological determinism, this study employed a mixed-methods
approach combining questionnaire-generated data and interviews of local government staff
officials and citizens with secondary data from relevant publications. Findings indicated that while
e-governance wields a potential for improving administrative efficiency, there were significant
barriers, such as inadequate infrastructure, limited digital literacy, and resistance to change
among public sector employees. The study concluded that strategic investments in infrastructure
and capacity-building initiatives are essential for maximizing the benefits of digital technologies.
Recommendations include fostering stakeholder engagement and developing tailored training
programmes to enhance digital literacy among local government employees and citizens. This
research contributes valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of digital technology
in public administration, particularly local government administration, thereby informing future
policy and practice.

E-governance is one of the significant methods for modernization and enhancement of public administration and public service delivery. The present study has explored e-governance in increasing efficiency, transparency and satisfaction among citizens in Pakistan. The design of a quantitative cross-sectional survey was used and 300 citizens of Pakistan were selected for data collection with experience of using digital government services. The data has been collected by a structured questionnaire with the help of five point likert scale. The relationships between e-governance, public service efficiency, transparency and citizen satisfaction were analysed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, reliability analysis and multiple regression. The results revealed that citizens' satisfaction had a mean score of 3.72 (SD = 0.73) public service efficiency 3.69 (SD = 0.76), transparency 3.64 (SD = 0.74), and e-governance 3.78 (SD = 0.71). The correlations of e-governance with public service efficiency, transparency and citizen satisfaction were all positive and significant (0.641, p < .001; 0.587, p < .001; 0.673, p < .001, respectively). The regression models accounted for 41.1%, 34.5% and 45.3% of the variance in efficiency, transparency, and citizen satisfaction, respectively. The study found that a good e-governance can facilitate more efficient, transparent and citizens-oriented public services. Further strengthening of digital infrastructure, Cyber Security, institutional coordination, digital literacy and designing platform for the users can enhance the performance of digital public services in Pakistan.

This study aims to analyze the transformation of e-government in accelerating bureaucratic reform through the implementation of digital governance in Mataram City. This research is motivated by the demand for improving the quality of effective, transparent, accountable, and technology-based public services in the era of digital transformation. The implementation of e-government is seen as a strategic instrument in realizing modern governance that is able to increase the efficiency of public administration and strengthen public participation. However, the implementation of digital government in the regions still faces various challenges, such as limited system integration, human resource capacity, technological infrastructure, and community digital literacy. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, documentation, and literature studies related to the implementation of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) in Mataram City. Data analysis uses the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of e-government in Mataram City has contributed significantly to the acceleration of bureaucratic reform by increasing the efficiency of public services, information transparency, bureaucratic accountability, and the effectiveness of government administration. Digital transformation is realized through online-based population administration services, a digital licensing system, a public complaints application, and the integration of government information systems. This study concludes that strengthening digital governance through digital system integration, human resource capacity development, improving information technology infrastructure, and strengthening literacy and public participation are crucial factors in realizing sustainable digital bureaucratic reform in Mataram City
