2TPA-IsoL, a novel chemiluminescent probe with red-shifted emission (600 nm), high HOCl selectivity, and prolonged kinetics, enables deep-tissue imaging and therapeutic evaluation of inflammatory bowel disease, offering a generalizable strategy for long-wavelength chemiluminescent probe design.
Abstract
By engineering the donor-acceptor scaffold of isoluminol, we developed 2TPA-IsoL, a novel chemiluminescent probe with red-shifted emission (600 nm), high HOCl selectivity, and prolonged kinetics. It enables deep-tissue imaging and therapeutic evaluation of inflammatory bowel disease, offering a generalizable strategy for long-wavelength chemiluminescent probe design.
Biomarker-responsive chemiluminescence (CL) probes have been developed as a promising technology for noninvasive bioimaging of diseases. Based on the high sensitivity of CL imaging technology, a boron dipyrromethene (BODIPY)-based CL probe (BDPH1) with a hydroxypyridine group was designed for the detection of superoxid...

A peroxynitrite-activatable NIR fluorescent/photoacoustic probe (ONOO--OBDP) was developed for detecting drug-induced liver injury. Specific ONOO- cleavage induced a bathochromic shift (745→822 nm) and an 18-fold fluorescence enhancement at 906 nm, enabling rapid, selective dual-modal imaging of hepatic ONOO- in animal...

Orthogonal fluorescent probes for simultaneous multi-biomarker monitoring are highly desirable yet difficult to design. Herein, we report NTLH (naphthalene-thiophene-lepidine hybrid), a dual-channel, mitochondria-targeting, molecular rotor-based fluorescent probe that enables orthogonal detection of viscosity and human...

As emerging contaminants, micro/nanoplastics (MNPs) are widely present in the environment. However, in toxicity studies of MNPs, traditional fluorescence labeling suffers from photobleaching issues and additional toxicity, making it difficult...
We present a π-conjugated ligand endowed with blue emission and the ability to form a self-assembled red-emitting europium(III) complex with a long emission lifetime (430 μs), even in a complex cellular environment. The ligand is easily synthesized, readily conjugated to antibodies, and suitable for multicolor and ti...

Viscosity is vital in biology and food, but most fluorescent probes serve one field. EHQM, a quinoline-malononitrile D–π–A rotor, uses TICT for 78-fold turn-on at 563 nm. It images cell viscosity and monitors food spoilage and thickener efficacy.
