Abstract

This research was motivated by the ease of transactions and the massive exposure to digital commercial promotions on social commerce platforms, which trigger impulsive consumer behavior among the younger generation. These real-world issues lead to financial instability, emotional stress, and a compromised quality of life for university students. The study primarily focuses on analyzing the extent to which TikTok Shop usage dependency and financial intelligence—both individually and simultaneously—influence the quality of life of Generation Z students. A quantitative approach utilizing a survey design was employed, involving the distribution of a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. A simple random sampling technique, guided by the Yamane formula, was used to select 124 student respondents from the sixth and eighth semesters of the Economic Education Study Program at Universitas Bhinneka PGRI Tulungagung. Statistical data processing was conducted via multiple linear regression modeling using SPSS version 27 software. Empirically, the quantitative data revealed the estimated equation model: Y = 2.152 + 0.149X1 + 0.821X2. Individually, the TikTok Shop usage dependency variable yielded a t-statistic of 3.090 (p = 0.002), while financial intelligence recorded a t-statistic of 14.722 (p = 0.000). Simultaneous testing resulted in an F-statistic of 218.173 (p = 0.000) and an Adjusted R-squared coefficient of 0.778. The study concludes that controlling digital shopping addiction and enhancing personal financial management literacy are highly effective strategies for improving students' quality of life. Prosedur pengolahan data statistik dieksekusi melalui permodelan regresi linier berganda memakai perangkat lunak SPSS versi 27. Data kuantitatif secara empiris menyingkap model persamaan estimasi Y = 2,152 + 0,149X1 + 0,821X2. Secara parsial, variabel ketergantungan penggunaan TikTok Shop memperoleh nilai t-hitung sebesar 3,090 (p = 0,002), sedangkan kecerdasan finansial mencatatkan skor t-hitung sebesar 14,722 (p = 0,000). Pengujian simultan menghasilkan parameter F-hitung sejumlah 218,173 (p = 0,000) serta koefisien determinasi Adjusted R Square sebesar 0,778. Simpulan utama menegaskan bahwa integrasi pengendalian adiksi belanja digital dan peningkatan literasi manajerial keuangan pribadi terbukti sangat andal dalam mendongkrak kualitas hidup mahasiswa.
