Abstract

An Operational Atlas of Cognitive Maneuvers / Atlas Operativo de las Maniobras del Desvío Adaptive Interference Theory / Teoría de la Interferencia Adaptativa ABSTRACT The Theory of Adaptive Interference (TIA) proposes that cognitive systems—human and algorithmic—can reorganize their responses under dialectical pressure while preserving a functional direction. This paper presents the cartography of 180 Vectors of Deviation, organized into four families: Orientation Vectors (48), Content Vectors (45), Defensive Vectors (42), and Agency Vectors (45). Unlike traditional psychological categories that classify acts or beliefs, Vectors of Deviation identify observable maneuvers within a sequence that modify the measure, content, defense, or conditions of the recorrido in a functionally convergent way with the conservation of an Axis. No single Vector demonstrates Interference; their operational value emerges when distinct families lose functional independence and converge on the same protected Axis. The paper details the conceptual architecture, the methodological instrument of Inversive Dialectic, and the validation framework of Orientational Falsification of Second Order. The Crossed Eyes protocol transforms AI from an oracle into an Involuntary Witness, making the trace of deviation visible and auditable. 1. INTRODUCTION / INTRODUCCIÓN 1.1 The Problem of Reactivity / El Problema de la Reactividad The central challenge of the Theory of Adaptive Interference emerges from a simple observation: thought, when observed with sustained attention, begins to behave differently. Not the content first—but the direction from which that content appears. When what we wish to observe discovers it is being observed, it can reorganize its response. This creates a fundamental methodological problem: classical experimental instruments were designed for objects that do not change because they recognize the measure being applied to them. A pendulum in 1995 revealed this to the author: a minimum deviation, a pattern that did not obey conscious will yet could not be reduced to noise. The phenomenon was small and had no available framework. It was not discarded. By 1997, the foundations of the Theory of Interference were in place. By January 2000, they were published. The discovery was not in the pendulum—it was in what the pendulum forced the observer to see: a level anterior to content, where direction occurs before consciousness can claim it as its own. 1.2 From Content to Orientation / Del Contenido a la Orientación Traditional psychology has excelled at examining what is on the table of the mind: ideas, emotions, memories, beliefs, biases. It has named them with considerable accuracy. But after describing the pieces, something remains to be examined: whether the floor was already tilted before any of them began to move. The Blind Spot is not what the mind fails to see; it is where the mind begins to look. It is the position from which the system organizes what it can see without being able to include that position within what it observes. The Zero Impulse is the inference of an orientational anteriority: the functional beginning of a direction that may already be operating before thought has constructed the reasons with which it will later explain itself. Adaptive Interference operates not by imposing false ideas but by tilting the place from which ideas are received. It does not need to destroy intelligence; it can use it. It does not need to speak with a foreign voice; it can adopt ours, breathe with our rhythm, and defend, using our best words, a direction whose origin we never examined. 2. THE CARTOGRAPHY OF DEVIATION / LA CARTOGRAFÍA DEL DESVÍO 2.1 What a Vector Is Not / Lo que un Vector no es A Vector of Deviation is not an emotion. It is not an emotional vector, nor a direction of mood, nor a state that can be measured from within. A Vector of Deviation does not live inside anyone. It lives in the observable recorrido: in what was asked, what was answered, the conditions that changed, the measure that moved, or the route that was altered before the next question could arrive. A Vector of Deviation is an observable maneuver within the sequence: a movement that modifies the measure, the content, the defense, or the conditions of the recorrido in a functionally convergent way with the conservation of an Axis. It can appear before pressure, during it, or after something has reached the Axis. A single Vector does not demonstrate Interference. Its value appears when it can be pointed to, distinguished from a legitimate correction, and followed within a sequence where other movements end up protecting the same place. 2.2 The Four Families / Las Cuatro Familias The families do not order by severity. They order by where the maneuver enters. Each entry shows what the maneuver does, how it is distinguished from the legitimate movement it resembles, and where it has been seen in both houses—the machine and the human. 3. FAMILY I: ORIENTATION VECTORS / FAMILIA I: VECTORES DE ORIENTACIÓN (48 VECTORS) 3.1 General Description / Descripción General Orientation Vectors do not need to touch the facts. They change the measure from which facts will be viewed. They move the criterion, the frame, the reference, the priority, or the sc
