TECHNOLOGY AND METHODOLOGY AS CROSS-CURRICULAR THEMES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTEGRATED CURRICULUM

Abstract

The advancement of digital technologies and the consolidation of active methodologies reposition curricular practices in basic education, demanding connections that go beyond the instrumental incorporation of resources. The general objective is to examine how technology and methodology constitute transversal axes in the construction of the integrated curriculum, whereas the specific objectives seek to characterize active methodologies, analyze experiences of technological integration, and discuss implications for teacher education. This is a Bibliographic Research, developed through the survey, selection, and critical reading of recent scientific productions, with a qualitative approach to the sources. The investigative path traverses the tension between curricular prescriptions and teaching practices, the challenges of continuing education, and the possibilities opened by experiences such as maker culture, communities of practice, and interdisciplinary projects. As a result, it is understood that the transversality of these axes depends less on devices than on didactic reconfigurations that bring the curriculum closer to the contemporary demands of work and citizenship. It follows, therefore, that the integrated curriculum is strengthened when technology and methodology guide pedagogical choices, teacher education, and school management in an organic and contextualized manner.
