Abstract
Simple Summary Ovarian cancer remains a major therapeutic challenge because many patients eventually experience disease recurrence and develop resistance to available treatments. Although recent therapeutic advances have improved outcomes in selected patient populations, there remains an urgent need for effective strategies to prevent or overcome treatment resistance. In this review, we summarize recent developments in ovarian cancer therapy, with particular emphasis on approaches targeting tumor-intrinsic biology, antitumor immunity, cancer metabolism, epigenetic regulation, and emerging cellular, genetic, and physical treatment modalities. We examine how these strategies may restore therapeutic sensitivity, delay disease progression, and improve clinical outcomes. Finally, we highlight personalized treatment selection, biomarker development, and rational combination therapies as key priorities for future research and clinical translation in ovarian cancer.
