Abstract
The primary objective of this research is to conduct a comparative analysis and evaluate the dynamic performance of an air suspension system versus a conventional leaf spring suspension system in a pickup truck. This study is motivated by the need to address fundamental challenges in vehicle handling and stability that directly influence component wear, maneuverability under critical conditions, and occupant safety. Accordingly, the present work aims to develop an accurate predictive model of vehicle behavior and, ultimately, to identify an optimal configuration of air suspension components to simultaneously enhance both controllability and maneuverability. The simulation results clearly demonstrate that replacing the conventional leaf spring suspension with an air suspension system leads to a significant enhancement in maneuverability and a notable improvement in handling metrics for the pickup truck. These findings underscore the potential for improving both safety and dynamic performance in this class of light commercial vehicles.
This paper focuses on the stringent requirements of the Baja SAE China competition for off-road racing vehicles and carries out the design and engineering structural analysis of the suspension system. Under the design constraints of a 1350 mm wheelbase, a front suspension using an unequal-length double-wishbone indepen...
To address the high frequency and heavy workload of cargo handling in small and medium-sized logistics warehouses, this paper designs an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) forklift to improve transport efficiency and reduce labor costs. Design calculations are performed for the driving and steering system, shock absorption...

To analyze the handling stability of an 8×4 heavy-duty truck, a multi- body dynamics model of the heavy truck was established in ADAMS. Simulation tests for minimum turning radius, double lane change, steering wheel step input, and steady-state returnability were conducted on this model. Analysis of the simulation and...

Non-linear vibrations in heavy trucks affect transportation efficiency, vehicle durability, and operational safety. They arise from interactions among suspension components, tire–road dynamics, and varying payloads, increasing fuel consumption, component wear, and cargo damage. This study reviews advances in the charac...
