Heat and Mass Transfer in Porous Media
Abstract
Abstract This research investigates the flow behavior and heat transfer characteristics of Casson fluid through a porous medium, considering the combined effects of radiation, thermal transmission, inclination angle, and magnetic field. The study is conducted by analyzing the fluid motion over a bounding plate, which is modeled using both ramped and isothermal concentration conditions. The governing equations describing the fluid flow and heat transfer are non-dimensionalized and solved using a numerical difference scheme to obtain accurate solutions. The results provide detailed insights into the impact of key physical parameters on velocity, temperature distribution, and skin friction coefficients. Specifically, the study reveals that increasing the angle of inclination dampens the velocity of the fluid flow, whereas the Casson fluid parameter, magnetic field strength, and inclination angle collectively enhance skin friction. These findings offer a comprehensive understanding of Casson fluid dynamics in porous media, with potential applications in industrial cooling, biomedical flows, and advanced material processing.
The results are packaged in the Greenfield Startup Model (GSM), which explains the priority of startups to release the product as quickly as possible, and the need to shorten time-to-market, by speeding up the development through low-precision engineering activities.
