Abstract
We present an original software package developed for the precise determination of kinetic mechanisms of complex chemical processes. The scientific novelty of the proposed approach lies in the efficient application of a genetic algorithm as a tool for global stochastic optimization. This enables the verification of complex stochastic reaction models under conditions of high experimental data uncertainty. The use of the genetic algorithm ensures reliable and automated selection of theoretical kinetic functions from an extensive basis of fundamental models. Equations of n-th order reactions, autocatalytic processes, and mathematical models of diffusion limitations are integrated into the structure of this basis. The developed digital tool provides a unique opportunity to interpret the chemical process under study as a complex system with pronounced macroscopic instability. Consequently, the algorithm accurately detects critical points of dynamic transitions and the shift of rate-limiting steps. The implemented mathematical approach significantly improves calculation convergence when searching for the global extremum of the objective function. The software package was successfully tested on the classical and practically important process of radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate. Modeling was performed in the presence of two common initiators, azobisisobutyronitrile and benzoyl peroxide, which confirmed the high accuracy, adequacy, reproducibility of results, and universality of the proposed algorithmic solutions.
The results are packaged in the Greenfield Startup Model (GSM), which explains the priority of startups to release the product as quickly as possible, and the need to shorten time-to-market, by speeding up the development through low-precision engineering activities.
