Abstract
This MATLAB package calculates finite-time diffusion coefficients for proton interactions with monochromatic magnetosonic waves in a dipole magnetic field. The model uses a single-harmonic, weak-wave approximation and includes gradient–curvature drift in both the wave–particle phase evolution and electromagnetic coupling. Users can specify the wave-normal angle, azimuthal wave-vector projection, and particle energy and equatorial pitch angle. Outputs include energy, pitch-angle, and L-shell diffusion coefficients and their cross terms. The package contains the core solver, basic plotting functions, and a README with usage instructions.
The results are packaged in the Greenfield Startup Model (GSM), which explains the priority of startups to release the product as quickly as possible, and the need to shorten time-to-market, by speeding up the development through low-precision engineering activities.
