Abstract

Interactive SvelteKit dashboard for exploring large language model sentiment annotations of the Islam West Africa Collection (IWAC), a corpus of 12,349 francophone West African press articles from 57 newspapers, published between 1961 and 2025 in Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Niger and Togo. Each article is annotated on three dimensions — polarity, subjectivity, and the centrality of Islam and Muslims to the article — by a panel of models. Two campaigns are published side by side: the current five-model panel (GPT-5.6 Luna, Mistral Small 4, DeepSeek v4 Flash, Gemma 4 31B, Qwen3.8 27B) and an archived first campaign of three (GPT-5 mini, Gemini 3 Flash preview, Ministral 14B 2512), retained unchanged so figures and citations published from it stay reproducible. The dashboard reports each model's distributions, their agreement (Cohen's kappa, quadratic-weighted kappa and Fleiss' kappa), where and how they diverge, and blind third-party arbiter evaluations of which annotation better fits the source text, with geographic and temporal views, a bilingual French/English interface, and CSV export.
