Abstract

Education systems are increasingly shaped by technological developments, diverse learner needs, and the search for more effective instructional practices. Contemporary educational research emphasizes the importance of innovation, inclusion, learner-centered teaching, and flexible learning environments. In this context, artificial intelligence, differentiated instruction, scaffolding, and universal design for learning have become significant areas of discussion in modern pedagogy. The chapters in this volume examine selected issues in educational sciences and instructional design. The first chapter discusses artificial intelligence in education by focusing on needs, pedagogical implications, and educational challenges. The second chapter investigates the effectiveness of scaffolding and differentiated instruction in improving the performance of mathematics students in senior secondary schools. The third chapter explores universal design for learning, presenting its principles and practices in diverse classroom settings. By bringing together these studies, this volume highlights the importance of adapting educational practices to changing technological and social conditions. The chapters demonstrate how innovative teaching strategies, inclusive learning design, and technology-supported approaches can contribute to more effective and accessible education. It is hoped that this book will serve as a useful academic resource for researchers, educators, students, and professionals interested in educational sciences, instructional design, artificial intelligence in education, mathematics education, and inclusive teaching practices. EDUCATION, TECHNOLOGY, AND INCLUSION: CURRENT CHALLENGES IN PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICES

This study focused on the integration of education, technology, and inclusion in pedagogical practices, considering their contribution to the development of more accessible and participatory learning environments. The research sought to answer how this integration strengthens teaching and promotes learning for all students. The objective was to analyze the scientific evidence regarding this relationship. The theoretical framework was based on studies addressing educational technologies, digital competencies, active learning methodologies, and inclusive education. An integrative literature review was conducted using national and international scientific databases, with studies selected and analyzed according to previously established criteria. The findings showed that the integration of technologies, teacher education, pedagogical planning, and accessibility expands opportunities for participation and learning. It is concluded that the purposeful use of technology, combined with inclusive practices, enhances the quality of education, contributes to teachers’ professional development, and provides support for improving educational policies.

CURRICULUMS AND TECHNOLOGY: ACTIVE METHODS FOR INNOVATIVE LEARNING

This article examines the intersections between school curricula and digital technologies, taking active methodologies as the structuring axis of innovative learning. The general objective is to analyze how participatory pedagogical practices can reframe contemporary curricular organization, favoring student protagonism and the articulation between forms of knowledge. Methodologically, Bibliographic Research is adopted, with a survey and critical analysis of recent academic productions on curriculum, diversity, teacher education and active strategies. The investigative path covers the decolonization of knowledge, transdisciplinarity, financial education and student autonomy, showing that such approaches broaden the formative repertoire when organically integrated with the pedagogical project. The results indicate that the integration between technology and active methodologies enhances the autonomous construction of knowledge, provided it is accompanied by didactic intentionality and continuing teacher education. It is inferred that curricular innovation does not depend only on technological resources, but on a reconfiguration of teaching and learning relationships. The research contributes to the educational debate by proposing concrete paths to overcome transmissive models, valuing diversity and the active participation of students in the production of knowledge.

Inclusive Education through Technology: Opportunities and Limitations in Digital Classrooms

Inclusive education through technology has emerged as a significant strategy for assuring equal educational opportunities and encouraging participation among students with various needs and abilities. The opportunities and constraints of inclusive education in digital classroom settings are examined in this study. The study used a qualitative and descriptive research methodology and mostly drew from secondary sources, including books, research articles, policy documents, and academic reports about educational technology and inclusive education. The findings show that accessibility, student engagement, personalised learning, and educational involvement have all been greatly enhanced by digital tools, assistive technologies, online learning platforms, and virtual classrooms. Students from a variety of social, cultural, and geographic backgrounds can more successfully access instructional resources in technology-supported learning environments. The digital gap, poor technology infrastructure, low digital literacy, barriers to accessibility for students with impairments, and inadequate teacher preparation are just a few of the issues that the report also highlights. These limitations frequently result in unequal educational possibilities, especially for pupils from underprivileged and rural regions. The study concludes that, while technology has the potential to support inclusive education, its successful implementation necessitates accessible infrastructure, teacher preparation, equitable policies, and learner-centred educational practices to ensure meaningful and inclusive digital learning for all students.
