An e-commerce–based sales information system that helps improve the efficiency of transaction management, enhances the quality of customer service, and simplifies the process of ordering and making online payments is designed and developed.
Abstract
UMKM Bolu Pisang Ine Pare Hanbai Kanbai is a small culinary enterprise that produces and sells banana cakes as one of the region’s typical souvenir products. In its daily operations, marketing activities and the recording of sales transactions are still handled manually, which reduces efficiency and increases the possibility of errors in managing data. Furthermore, customers must visit the business location in person to place their orders, making the purchasing process less convenient. This research aims to design and develop an e-commerce–based sales information system that can support product promotion, manage transaction data, and provide easier access for customers to place orders. The research methods applied in this study include observation and literature review to obtain the necessary data and information. The system is developed using the PHP programming language with MySQL as the database and is modeled using tools such as Data Flow Diagram (DFD) and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD). The result of this study is an e-commerce–based sales information system that helps improve the efficiency of transaction management, enhances the quality of customer service, and simplifies the process of ordering and making online payments. The implementation of this system is expected to improve business management efficiency and support the growth of UMKM Bolu Pisang Ine Pare Hanbai Kanbai.
