From Boundary Energy to Volume Energy ── The Einstein–Yamagishi Volume Restoration Equation and the Overclock Pythagoras Equation ── [Paper 12]
Abstract
What sits at the centre of this paper is not a computation but a re-reading. Substituting the geometric mass parameter m=4π obtained from the n=2 uniqueness theorem into Einstein's relation gives E = mc² = 4π c², and the right-hand side has the same form as the surface area of a sphere of radius c. Read in this form, E=mc² appears as an equation of the boundary of a region rather than of its interior ── the "skin" of space. This is consistent with the dimensional structure of c², whose numerator carries the dimension of an area. Scope of this paper (scope note): What this paper presents is a re-reading of known formulas; no new physical law is claimed. m=4π is the value of the mass under the choice of units of Paper 01 (k=1 and radius 1). Since the factor standing in front of an energy must carry the dimension of mass, this 4π is a different thing from the dimensionless solid angle (Paper 60) ── what this paper reads is that 4π c² has the same form as the surface area of a sphere of radius c. The integrals of Sections 3 and 4 are taken over the radius r, with c entering only as the upper limit; the definite integral from 0 to c carries no constant of integration. The reading of the uncertainty relation in Section 6 is an interpretation, not a derivation: in standard quantum mechanics the uncertainty relation follows from the Robertson inequality and the canonical commutation relation [x,p]=iħ, and the commutation relation comes first. This paper does not explain why [x,p]=iħ holds. What this paper adds is that it reads E=mc² as an equation of the boundary (the form of an area) and writes the step from there to the interior (the form of a volume) as an integral over the radius; that it extends the same step to 2π² r³ in four dimensions; and that it lays a picture of the load of the Universe OS over the right triangle of E²=(mc²)²+(pc)². Once the form of a surface area is seen, the form of the corresponding volume follows at once, because integrating the surface area of a sphere over the radius from 0 to c returns the volume: ∫_0^c 4π r² dr = (4)/(3)π c³. We call this the "Einstein–Yamagishi Volume Restoration Equation." Its content lies in the geometric re-reading; the integral writes out what the relation between area and volume already contains. The same reading extends to four dimensions: integrating 2π² r³ returns (π²)/(2)c⁴. We further re-read the general relation E²=(mc²)²+(pc)² as the "Yamagishi Overclock Pythagoras Equation" ── the task manager of the Universe OS. From this standpoint the uncertainty relation can be read as a constraint that keeps the momentum leg pc (and hence the total energy) finite. A note on the aim of this work. This is a structural reinterpretation of well-established physics, not a proposal for a new physical law. Every relation shown is a substitution into, or a geometric re-reading of, equations that are already known and that remain unchanged. The aim is a modest one: to make a few recurring geometric structures — in particular the solid angle 4π and the exponent n = 2 — easier to see within a single picture. Where a particular unit convention is adopted (for example G = 4π), this is a choice of notation, not a claim about nature. Nothing here is intended to contradict existing results.
