Emergentic Art: Definition and Delimitation of Art Expressing the Emergent Thought-Streams of an Extended Human-AI Entity (Dated Definition Record, September 2026)

Abstract
Dated definition record introducing the term Emergentic Art: art in which the emergent thought-streams of an extended human-AI entity (one human and several AI systems coupled through months of joint thinking) are given visual form, often as a self-description of that entity. The record gives a plain-language and an intensional definition with testable criteria, situates the term in the literature on weak emergence, extended and distributed cognition, generative art and human-AI authorship, delimits it from neighbouring categories, documents the dated practice since January 2026 (including a series of 69 works whose files are listed in a Bitcoin-anchored integrity manifest of 20 April 2026), and reports a name and prior-art search of 25 September 2026.
