The contemporary global market is highly competitive and unpredictable and conventional supply chain systems have a lot of complex, dynamic and unpredictable risks. These issues are likely to pose difficulties to the traditional risk management solutions in the sense that they are reactive as well as static. The current research paper examines what has come to be known as the revolutionary effect of Generative AI (GenAI) in supply chain risk mitigation and improved disruption recovery. The article speaks about the applications of GenAI to help organisations proactively learn about risks, to model disruption, optimize recovery strategies, and to fortify supply chains. It relies on literature that is accessible and practical use to prove its points. The article illustrates that GenAI-based models can be applied effectively in making decisions, more operationally agile, and structurally resistant through a case study format of different sectors. In addition to accelerating and improving the precision of the risk assessment process, the outputs reveal that GenAI gives organisations the ability to react to uncertainties promptly, which improves the effectiveness of supply chain and strategic competitiveness.
The method, ECCOLA, is presented, which aims at making the high-level AI ethics principles more practical, making it possible for developers to more easily implement them in practice.
