Intelligent Robotics in Manufacturing

Sep 2026 · Intelligent Manufacturing Systems · pp. 235-252

Abstract

Industry 5.0 signifies the emotional intelligence and human creativity which carries the exactness of intelligent machines. There are two core visions like bioeconomy and human–robot collaboration to focusing the technological advancement, sources of efficiency, and sustainability development. Therefore, forward Automated Guided Vehicles are transmitted into flexible Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), which are subjected to improving the machine learning, artificial intelligence, and embedded systems. These systems enhance the decision-making process, autonomous monitoring, and adaptability in dynamic environments and are capable of application in sectors like healthcare, manufacturing, and logistics. Still, some encounters are pending in developing safety measures, ethical concerns, and legal frameworks. Intellectual robotics are encouraged by human brains, which are subjected to construct the machines capable of learning, decision-making, and reasoning and problem identification through techniques like natural language, computer vision, and reinforcement learning. Nowadays, smart robots focus on handling hazardous tasks, set free of humans for high priority level decision-making and handling repetitive tasks in hazardous situations. However, maximum initial cost, highly required technical expertise, and integration difficulties delay the utilization in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. Human-centric systems, cognitive intelligence, and advances in artificial intelligence will be suited to develop smart manufacturing, sustainable growth and ethical support. Industry 5.0 is not only to create the technological enhancement; it also represents a new path for humans and machines to collaborate and co-create values.
