The Generative Architecture: A Mathematical Exposition

Sep 2026 · Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research)

Abstract

Title: The Generative Architecture: A Mathematical Exposition Description: A self-contained mathematical exposition of the Generative Architecture — a meta-theory of generative systems. The Generative Architecture offers a structural grammar for how any system that persists, adapts, and reorganises might evolve. The grammar sits above physics, cognition, and multi-agent systems. Those domains are applications of the grammar, not derivations from it. This document presents the architecture in full mathematical form, with two clearly distinguished layers. The structural core. Derived from axioms about distinction: The forced period-7 orbit of the identity element R0R0 (Theorem 1.8) The conserved invariant G=D+I′G=D+I′ as a Noether charge The 7-stage generative loop L=I′∘D∘R∘P∘F∘A∘IL=I′∘D∘R∘P∘F∘A∘I The master equation ∂tX=−δA/δX+∇XV(X)+C[X]∂tX=−δA/δX+∇XV(X)+C[X] The geometric collapse condition λ1=0∧F1≠0λ1=0∧F1=0 The structural boundary operator β:R→(R,∂R,B)β:R→(R,∂R,B) The composition law X⋆Y:=πXY(D∘D)X⋆Y:=πXY(D∘D) The tempo-translation operator Λop=exp⁡(Δτ⋅Lτ)Λop=exp(Δτ⋅Lτ) The representation-space derivation Aut(HSM)=SU(3)×SU(2)×U(1)Aut(HSM)=SU(3)×SU(2)×U(1) The phase state vector Φ=(Σ,Λ,β,ΣΩ,ℏeff)Φ=(Σ,Λ,β,ΣΩ,ℏeff), the phase manifold MphaseMphase, and the phase transition operator T(Φ)T(Φ) The operator-complete deep state D=(P,C,B,Π)D=(P,C,B,Π) The structural correspondences with physics. When the grammar is expressed in the language of physics, the resulting structures correspond to known physics. These are suggestive but are not derived from the architecture's axioms: The gauge group from the boundary triad (structural correspondence with the generator identification) The mass hierarchy from the tempo spectrum (leading-order form derived; does not match observation) The Weinberg angle from coherence geometry (structural form derived; numerical value fitted) Emergent gravity from stabilised coherence (structural form derived; quantitative reproduction open) The Higgs mechanism from collapse (structural form derived; numerical values pending) Status discipline. Every major claim in this document is marked with a status tag:Axiom / Derived / Structural / Fitted / Simulated / Formalised / Open / Correspondence. What the architecture is not. It is not a candidate theory of everything. It does not claim that the physical universe is the architecture. It claims that any system with generative structure — physical, cognitive, multi-agent, or otherwise — can be written in the architecture's language. Whether physics is one such system is a separate question, belonging to physics. What the architecture is. A structural grammar with a rigorous core, a set of suggestive physical applications, and a working programme for determining whether the correspondences with physics run deep. Related volumes. Companion documents include the Algebra of Possibility, the Wave Formulation, the Generative AI Mind, and the Quantum Realm report. Each develops a specific aspect of the architecture in greater depth. Keywords: generative systems, meta-theory, structural grammar, possibility, distinction, monoid, period-7, composition law, structural boundary operator, phase architecture, emergent gravity, gauge group, flavour physics
