Speech and dialogue systems
Abstract
UNIQUE HOST is a text-based roleplay dialogue system built as an applied continuation of the Cognitive Coherence Model (CCM), a cognitive architecture describing how a computational entity maintains internal coherence through two parallel engines, somatic and mental, represented as a deformable geometric state. Instead of scripting a character's reactions or delegating them to a language model, UNIQUE HOST gives each character an internal state that shifts with every message; the reply is read off where that state lands. It is not a language model, runs in about 15 ms per message with no GPU and no API, and defines characters through a structured questionnaire. This document presents the first public release (v0.1.0): what the system is, how it works, and how it relates to the CCM paper, including a section on known limitations and open work. UNIQUE HOST is a small slice of a larger architecture, one domain and one output channel. The full model, described in the CCM paper, is considerably broader.

The results are packaged in the Greenfield Startup Model (GSM), which explains the priority of startups to release the product as quickly as possible, and the need to shorten time-to-market, by speeding up the development through low-precision engineering activities.
