Organizational and economic mechanism for integrating marketing and sales tools into competitiveness management
Abstract
The article theoretically substantiates, develops, and conceptualizes a comprehensive organizational and economic mechanism for integrating marketing and sales tools into the enterprise competitiveness management system. It is proved that eliminating the cross-functional gap between marketing and sales departments serves as a key dynamic capability of an organization, creating a unique, hard-to-imitate resource potential according to the fundamental VRIO criteria. The structural architecture of the mechanism is thoroughly revealed, encompassing input resources, organizational-institutional, economic, and instrumental-technological sub-mechanisms alongside a targeted output vector for assessing overall market competitiveness. Cross-functional interaction tools are systematically structured with a particular emphasis on an integrated Smarketing toolkit, including Inbound Marketing, Lead Scoring, Account-Based Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Closed-Loop Analytics. Formalized organizational regulations based on Service Level Agreements are proposed, evaluating the direct impact of the organizational culture framework on cross-functional integration maturity levels. Furthermore, an economic sub-mechanism based on a balanced three-tier system of individual, cross-functional, and strategic Key Performance Indicators is substantiated. An economic-mathematical model for evaluating the generated synergistic effect, Customer Lifetime Value, Customer Acquisition Cost ratio, and the Integral Competitiveness Index is fully formalized. The pivotal role of modern digital technologies, specifically Customer Relationship Management, Sales Force Automation, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence, is defined as the underlying technological framework for continuous business process synchronization. The practical significance lies in providing actionable management tools to systematically enhance enterprise adaptability, customer retention, and long-term strategic market positions.
