Comparative Pre- and Post- Treatment Effects of Aqueous Zingiber Officinale Rhizome Extract on Cadmium-induced Renal Dysfunction in Wistar Rats: Insights into NF-kB, NrF2 and Caspase-3 pathways
Ginger is supported as a promising natural agent for mitigating heavy metal nephrotoxicity through antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, and metal-chelating mechanisms.
Both plant extracts exert significant hepato- and nephroprotective effects against cisplatin-induced toxicity, likely through antioxidant and cytoprotective mechanisms, and support their potential use as complementary agents to mitigate chemotherapy-induced organ toxicity and prevent weight loss.

Background: Aluminum chloride (AlCl₃) is a well-established neurotoxin implicated in oxidative stress, immune dysregulation, and hypothalamic dysfunction. The search for plant-based therapeutic agents with immunomodulatory and neuroprotective properties remains critical in toxicological research. Objective: This study...

Acetaminophen (APAP) overdose is associated with oxidative stress and injury to the liver and kidney. This study evaluated the antioxidant, hepatoprotective, and nephroprotective effects of an ethyl acetate extract of Persea americana seed in male Wistar rats. Thirty adult male rats were randomly assigned to six groups...
