Biological Information Processing and Late-Time Cosmic Acceleration

Sep 2026 · Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research)

Abstract

Abstract: This study presents a testable quantum-informational and biophysical framework to resolve two of the most fundamental crises in theoretical physics and observational cosmology: the Cosmological Constant Catastrophe ($10^{120}$ discrepancy) and the late-time cosmic acceleration transition ($z \approx 0.5$). Moving beyond traditional phenomenological scalar fields and speculative physical extra dimensions, the work constructs an emergent spacetime model ("It from Qubit") founded on Quantum Information Theory, the Bousso Holographic Bound, and Gibbons–Hawking horizon thermodynamics. Key Theoretical Highlights: The Single-World Imperative & Wavefunction Erasure: We show that under the constraints of the Bekenstein–Hawking holographic capacity limit ($I_{\max} \approx 4.7 \times 10^{122}\text{ bits}$), the Everettian Multi-World scenario leads to an informational memory overflow. Consequently, unobserved quantum branches ($2^{N_{\mathrm{ent}}}-1$) must be irreversibly erased at the sub-microscopic kernel layer ($\mathcal{K}_{\mathrm{Kernel}}$), incurring an unavoidable Landauer entropic registration cost. Biophysical State-Space Explosion ($N_{\mathrm{ent}}$ Weighting): Unlike the restricted, linear probability corridors of inanimate matter ($N_{\mathrm{ent}} \sim 1\text{--}10$), stochastic decision-making and sub-cellular processes (e.g., microtubule networks and protein folding) within living organisms operate in a quantum intermediate regime ($N_{\mathrm{ent}} \sim 10^2\text{--}10^4$). This generates a massive, exponentially folded combinatorial bit-erasure traffic density ($\Ibio \sim 10^{18}\text{--}10^{20}\text{ bit/s/cell}$). De Sitter Holographic Projection & $w = -1$: While local Landauer heat remains contained within the local biosphere ($300\text{ K}$), the registration cost of erased bits on the De Sitter cosmological horizon scales via the Bousso boundary transfer coefficient ($\eta = T_{\mathrm{GH}} / T_{\mathrm{local}} \approx 8.3 \times 10^{-33}$). Under the $SO(1,4)$ maximal symmetry of De Sitter spacetime, this isotropic projection mathematically compels the back-projected energy-momentum tensor into a negative-pressure state equation ($w_{\mathrm{enf}} = -1$), providing a physical origin for Dark Energy. Cosmological Transition at $z \approx 0.5$: By integrating a logistic evolutionary growth model for biophysical erasure traffic into the Buchert-averaged Friedmann acceleration equation, we demonstrate that the accumulation of informational energy density surpassed gravitational matter density ($\rho_m$) approximately 5 billion years ago, naturally triggering late-time acceleration. Resolution of the $10^{120}$ Crisis: By introducing a Lazy Evaluation mechanism, vacuum energy is shown to be not a static sum of all QFT zero-point modes, but the dynamic, active registration cost along the "now" slice, sönümlendirerek sönümleyerek (suppressing) the $10^{120}$ calculation disaster. This preprint outlines concrete, testable predictions, including dynamic equation-of-state deviations ($w(z)$) linked to cosmic biological evolution profiles and micro-scale thermal anomalies in highly entangled quantum computing systems.
