Abstract

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Business Management is an academic textbook that presents an integrated understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), business analytics, managerial decision-making, strategy, digital transformation, responsible AI, governance, sustainability, and the future of intelligent organisations. The book develops a progression from the foundations of AI, data, and machine learning to supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning; model evaluation; deep learning and neural networks; natural language processing; generative AI; large language models; and AI agents. These concepts are subsequently examined through applications in strategic management, marketing, financial management and banking, human resource management, operations and supply chain management, emerging sectors, entrepreneurship, innovation, and international business. Particular attention is given to the managerial interpretation and practical application of AI and ML, including business problem identification, data requirements, model selection, evaluation, implementation, value creation, and organisational adoption. The book also addresses responsible AI, ethics, bias and fairness, explainability, privacy, security, accountability, AI governance, sustainability and ESG, digital transformation, the future of work, and human–AI collaboration. Designed for MBA and management students, business analytics learners, research scholars, faculty members, managers, entrepreneurs, and executive learners, the book combines conceptual foundations with practical business applications, tables, figures, frameworks, application exercises, review questions, and research directions.
