Abstract

This study analyzes the quality of Qur’an and Hadith learning at MA Ma’arif Bulukumba through the dimensions of planning, implementation, and evaluation. A qualitative descriptive design with a phenomenological approach was employed. Data were collected through classroom observation, interviews with the madrasah principal, vice principal for curriculum, and Qur’an and Hadith teachers, as well as documentation of instructional materials. The data were analyzed through reduction, display, and conclusion drawing, with credibility strengthened through time, source, and method triangulation. The findings show that teachers have prepared modules and learning tools in accordance with the curriculum, yet classroom implementation remains inconsistent because instruction is still dominated by lecture and talaqqi methods. Limited media, facilities, heterogeneous student characteristics, and pedagogical readiness affect instructional variation. Evaluation through principal and supervisor supervision provides constructive feedback for improving learning tools, methods, and media use. The study highlights the importance of aligning planning, classroom practice, and continuous evaluation to improve the quality of Qur’an and Hadith learning.
