Abstract

An important direction in strengthening the country's food security is the development of animal husbandry as an element of providing the population with high-quality dairy and meat products. The implementation of this task is closely related to the systematic monitoring of animal health, timely diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The main objective of the experiment was to study changes in the morphological composition of blood in dry cows with genital mycoplasmosis to assess the degree of potential effects on the fetus and the neonatal period, as well as to develop methods of corrective therapy. During the experiment, it was found that genital mycoplasmosis in dry cows leads to a number of changes in the morphological composition of the blood: a decrease in hemoglobin, hematocrit, and average hemoglobin concentration in the red blood cell, as well as an acceleration of ESR and leukopenia. Changes in red blood cells and related parameters contribute to the deterioration of fetal trophism during pregnancy, and leukopenia increases the risk of infection and termination of pregnancy. Taken together, these factors can lead to a decrease in the body weight of calves at birth and negatively affect its subsequent growth.
