TL;DR

Physiological and biochemical analyses showed that the content of SPP, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, chlorophyll b, and carotenoids were significantly lower in the albino mutants (pthsps1/2/3) than in the wild type, indicating that PthSPS1/2/3 regulated the stability of photosynthetic pigments.

Genome-wide identification of the WRKY gene family in Codonopsis pilosula and functional analysis of CpWRKY8 under drought stress

Codonopsis pilosula (Franch.) Nannf., a perennial herbaceous species in the family Campanulaceae, is widely used in traditional medicine for its dried roots. Drought stress severely constrains both the yield and the accumulation of bioactive compounds in this species. In this study, we performed a genome-wide identific...

Cloning and Functional Characterization of PmCPS, a Copalyl Diphosphate Synthase Gene from Pinus massoniana Lamb

Pinus massoniana Lamb. is an important timber- and oleoresin-producing tree species in southern China. Copalyl diphosphate synthase (CPS) catalyzes the cyclization of geranylgeranyl diphosphate (GGPP) to copalyl diphosphate (CPP), representing a key step in the biosynthesis of gibberellins (GAs) and diverse diterpenoid...

Phylogenetic Classification, Characterization and Expression of Goldon2-like (GLK) Transcription Factor Gene Family in Persian Walnut in Response to Phomopsis capsici Infection

The G2-like (GLK) transcription factors are members of the GARP superfamily and control chloroplast biogenesis, photosynthesis development and stress responses in plants. However, they are yet to be characterized in a systematic manner in woody perennial species. In this work, we identified and characterized the GLK ge...

Functional Characterization and Promoter Analysis of a MeJA-Responsive Squalene Synthase Gene CpSQS from Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinsk

Cyclocarya paliurus leaves are rich in bioactive triterpenoids, yet their regulatory mechanisms, particularly in response to methyl jasmonate (MeJA), remain unclear. This study aimed to characterize the spatial and temporal effects of MeJA on triterpenoid accumulation, identify MeJA-responsive genes involved in triterp...
