Abstract
This paper presents a novel nonsingular sliding-mode to realize predefined-time tracking control performance of Euler–Lagrange systems. The proposed algorithm integrates a predefined-time hierarchical control algorithm and an observer-based controller to achieve predefined-time stabilization. By incorporating the sliding-mode control strategy, dynamic uncertainties and external disturbances in the system can be effectively addressed, thereby enhancing its robustness. Furthermore, the application of the predefined-time hierarchical control algorithm ensures that the system reaches a stable state within a settling time while maintaining the smoothness of the control input. Based on the Lyapunov stability argument, some sufficient criteria for predefined-time stability are derived. Eventually, numerical simulations are proposed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the main theoretical methodology. This research provides an effective solution for the control of Euler–Lagrange systems.
This paper addresses high-precision tracking control for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems under the stringent requirement that the convergence time of the tracking error be explicitly preassigned by the user. To meet this requirement, a predefined-time sliding-mode control (PTSMC) scheme is developed. The contr...

This paper proposes a discrete-time sliding mode controller for a class of disturbed linear systems and investigates its dynamic characteristics. First, a novel discrete-time sliding mode reaching law is developed by redefining the variation rate of disturbances through a difference function. A disturbance estimation m...

This paper presents an observer-based sliding-mode tracking control strategy for connected nonlinear servo systems with unknown disturbances. A distributed state observer is designed for each follower to estimate the leader state in finite time, since the leader information is not directly accessible to all followers....
