Abstract
This study presents the implementation and performance evaluation of an Adaptive Inertia-Related Controller (AIRC) designed for the joint-space control of a low-cost robotic manipulator. Addressing the limitations of traditional Proportional-Derivative (PD) controllers, particularly operating in dynamic uncertainty conditions and with low sensor-motor accuracy, the applied AIRC adaptively estimates real-time dynamic model parameters to achieve robust and precise trajectory tracking. The control strategy is implemented within a model-based adaptive framework, with Lyapunov stability analysis ensuring the asymptotic convergence of tracking errors. Advanced simulations and real-time experiments were conducted under the same conditions to evaluate the performance of AIRC compared to a standard PD controller. The experimental results confirm a significant improvement in tracking accuracy; specifically, the AIRC reduced the RMSE by approximately 13.6% and 12.9% for Joints 1 and 2, respectively, while achieving a 36.6% improvement for Joint 3 compared to the PD controller. This quantitative analysis validates the enhanced robustness of the AIRC, highlighting its potential as a cost-effective and high-performance robotic control system for industrial and research applications.
An optimal trajectory-tracking control method is developed for a two-degree-of-freedom (2-DOF) helicopter operating under uncertain dynamics and external disturbances, and an actor–critic learning structure is embedded into the controller design.

In follow-up control of large-inertia turntables, directly applying a position-loop controller designed for point-to-point positioning often leads to frequent start–stop behaviors and pronounced velocity oscillations. To address this issue, this paper proposes a model predictive control (MPC)-based position-loop strate...
Dynamics-based feedforward control has been shown to significantly improve the trajectory tracking accuracy of many kinds of industrial robots. However, the effectiveness of such schemes is limited by the fidelity of the underlying inversedynamics model, which in current implementations typically neglects joint frictio...

Rotary-wing configuration of autonomous aerial vehicles (AAVs) offers great flight efficiency for civil and military deployments. However, the control and trajectory tracking of certain AAVs, specifically coaxial rotor AAVs (CRAAVs) pose notable research challenges due to their under-actuated characteristics. To handle...
Direct current (DC) servo motors are essential in industrial automation and robotics, where precise position and speed control are critical; however, they require high-performance control strategies. This study investigates an experimental framework for the modeling and control of a DC servo motor using system identifi...
