Abstract
A practical protocol has been established for the synthesis of dihydroquinoxalin-2(1H)-ones through iron-mediated hydroalkylation of quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones with alkenes and phenylsilane. The reaction proceeds smoothly at room temperature, utilizing alkenes as the alkylating agents and phenylsilane as the hydride source, affording the desired products in moderate to good yields.
