Abstract

The increased application of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Human Resource (HR) management has totally transformed how decisions are made in organizations particularly in recruitment, performance evaluation, and workforce planning. Though AI-based HR solutions will probably improve efficiency, accuracy, and objectivity, they also pose a serious question of the legal responsibility, equality, and adherence to the employment law. The paper will discuss the use of Artificial Intelligence in human resource decision making and its legal obligation in an organization with its base in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The study will be quantitative and 400 respondents will be used in the study (including; HR managers, senior managers, legal advisors, and compliance officers of companies in the UAE both state-owned and privately owned). The Artificial Intelligence as conceptualized in the HR is multidimensional and involves AI-based recruitment and selection, AI-based performance evaluation, predictive HR analytics, and the automation of HR decision-making. The quality of the HR decision making is the dependent variable and gauged based on the accuracy of decisions, the speed of decision making, the fairness and objectivity of decisions, and the minimization of risks. The data are also tested in SmartPLS with descriptive statistics, reliability and correlation analysis and regression to test the proposed relationships. The findings will indicate that AI-based HR practices positively influence the quality of the HR decision-making process, and these effects depend on the successful legal accountability practices, including transparency, regulatory compliance, and human control. The following research paper will become a part of the available literature as it incorporates technological, managerial, and legal vision. It offers a practical advice to organizations and policymakers who are aiming at striking a balance between AI-based innovation and legal and ethical responsibility in the UAE labor market.
