In silico identification of microRNAs from the giant freshwater prawn Macrobrachium rosenbergii targeting white tail disease-associated viruses (MrNV and XSV)
Host-derived miRNAs previously shown to be upregulated following polyinosinic:polycytidylic acid (Poly I:C) stimulation were analyzed for predicted interactions with WTD-associated viral genomes using an integrative computational approach and several conserved miRNA response elements (MREs) were identified within viral genes encoding essential proteins.
It is demonstrated that viperin plays a central role in coordinating antiviral responses in rainbow trout macrophages and is essential for proper activation of classical IFN–ISG pathways.

Fowl adenovirus serotype 4 (FAdV-4) is the causative agent of hydropericardium-hepatitis syndrome (HHS), a disease that causes severe economic losses to the global poultry industry. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are key regulators of host–pathogen interactions; yet, their temporal expression dynamics and functional roles during F...

Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) have emerged as critical regulators of host immune responses against pathogen infection in aquatic animals, yet their roles in reptiles remain largely unexplored. Herein, we investigated the splenic ncRNA expression profiles of Chinese soft-shelled turtles (Pelodiscus sinensis) following Aeromo...

The first ncRNA transcriptome landscape of C. sonnerati during RGNNV infection is offered, establishing a theoretical basis for elucidating host-RGNNV interaction mechanism in groupers and establishing a valuable candidate target for future antiviral strategies in C. sonnerati.
This study identified orthologs in other Brevipalpus species, but not in other Acari relatives, supporting that the horizontal gene transfer event is circumscribed to the Brevipalpus genus.

Streptococcus iniae is a major warm-water pathogen that cause high mortality and severe economic losses in golden pompano industry. In the present study, we performed the mRNA-miRNA integrated transcriptomic analysis of spleen of golden pompano challenged with S. iniae to explore the possible regulatory mechanism to ba...
