Human Resource and Talent Management

Abstract

Digital transformation has changed the way organizations manage human resources, including in the areas of acquiring, developing, retaining, and mobilizing talent. In this context, talent mobility is no longer limited to employee transfers but also encompasses career mobility, knowledge transfer, competency development, and the adaptation of talent to the organization’s increasingly dynamic needs. This study aims to analyze the development of research on talent mobility within the digital ecosystem and to identify patterns of findings, methodological approaches, and key themes emerging in the literature. The study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, involving a systematic process of literature identification, selection, extraction, and synthesis based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of the study indicate that talent mobility is evolving at the intersection of talent management, digital transformation, competency development, career mobility, artificial intelligence, and digital talent management. The literature also highlights the increasing use of digital technologies in competency mapping, career development, recruitment, training, retention, and talent needs planning. This study contributes by integrating the perspectives of talent mobility and digital transformation and provides a conceptual foundation for organizations to develop adaptive, data-driven talent management systems.

Gender, Race, and Intersectional Bias in Resume Screening via Language Model Retrieval

This work investigates the possibilities of using LLMs in a resume screening setting via a document retrieval framework that simulates job candidate selection and finds that the MTEs are biased, significantly favoring White-associated names in 85% of cases and female-associated names in only 11.1% of cases.
