Sinclair is a large tree belongs to custard apple family Annonaceae is native of Indian subcontinent has been reported first time from Nanded district of Marathwada region of the Maharashtra state. This tree is one of the best examples of conservation practice done by the nature itself. The present work is a preliminary general survey of rare, endemic and endangered plant species from Nanded District of Marathwada region of Maharashtra State India.

Taxonomic Remark and Typification of Helictotrichon sempervirens (Poaceae, Aveninae)

Helictotrichon sempervirens (Poaceae), a common ornamental grass cultivated in rock gardens, described from southern France, is discussed and typified. The name is originally based on the basionym Avena sempervirens . The designation of a lectotype is based on an analysis of original material stored in the GRM herbarium, alongside the critical examination of diagnostic morphological characters, label data, protologue information, and Villars's botanical work. We also discuss the nomenclatural complexity associated with the names and distinctive morphological characters of H. sempervirens .

Morphological study of Tulipa greigii Regel in the Chatkal range

This study presents a detailed morphological analysis of Tulipa greigii Regel (Liliaceae), a bulbous spring geophyte of high ornamental and conservation value, based on natural populations from the Chatkal Range of the Western Tian Shan, Uzbekistan. Quantitative and qualitative characters of the vegetative and generative organs — bulb, stem, leaves, perianth, androecium and gynoecium — were examined across several populations during the 2024–2025 flowering seasons. Significant variation was recorded in leaf width, tepal length and filament coloration, whereas floral symmetry and capsule structure remained stable. Multivariate analysis distinguished lowland and montane morphotypes, indicating environmentally driven plasticity along the altitudinal gradient. The results refine the morphological circumscription of the species, provide diagnostic characters for field identification, and establish a baseline for conservation monitoring of this Central Asian endemic.Note: this is a demonstration article illustrating the journal’s article layout, metadata, references and DOI assignment.
