TL;DR

This review summarizes the current landscape of individual prognostic biomarkers in TNBC and further emphasizes the transition toward promising multi-prognostic biomarker panels for effectively capturing the biological complexity of TNBC and enabling more personalized therapeutic interventions.

Abstract

Simple Summary Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive and highly heterogeneous form of breast cancer marked by substantial risks of recurrence and metastasis. Unlike other subtypes of breast cancer, TNBC does not possess the three critical molecular traits that can act as key therapeutic targets for classification, necessitating the need for identification of reliable prognostic markers. However, the complex heterogeneity of TNBC has led to significant discrepancies in the prognostic value of individual biomarkers. This review summarizes the current landscape of individual prognostic biomarkers in TNBC and further emphasizes the transition toward promising multi-prognostic biomarker panels. We aim to highlight the need for such integrated prognostic approaches for effectively capturing the biological complexity of TNBC and thereby enabling more personalized therapeutic interventions.

Tumor digital twins uncover therapeutic strategies in triple-negative breast cancer.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive malignancy with limited therapeutic options and a high risk of relapse and mortality. Consequently, there is a critical need for personalized treatment strategies that reflect the unique biology, clonal architecture, and evolutionary dynamics of individual tumors. H...

Integrated analysis reveals the impact of obesity on triple-negative breast cancer.

It is revealed that obesity is associated with coordinated immune-metabolic remodeling in TNBC, characterized by checkpoint enrichment and lipid dysregulation, which may help explain the enhanced anti-PD-1 responsiveness and should be taken into account in the field of precision medicine.

The molecular pathological basis and potential clinical applications of ‘zero‐budding’ status in stage II colorectal cancer

Abstract In the personalized management of stage II colorectal cancer (CRC), traditional TNM (Tumor, Node, Metastasis) staging has limited ability to accurately stratify the risk of postoperative recurrence. Consequently, oncologists frequently face a major therapeutic dilemma when determining the use of adjuvant chemo...
