Maize (Zea mays L.) is a globally important crop, particularly in Mexico, where it faces challenges such as climate change, soil degradation, and phytopathogenic diseases. This study evaluated the effect of biostimulants (Trichoderma spp., chitosan, and humus leachate) on morphometric growth and rhizosphere fungal diversity in maize plants grown under greenhouse conditions. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design with nine treatments and nine replicates and was conducted during the autumn–winter 2023–2024 and spring–summer 2024 seasons. Results showed that the combined application of biostimulants promoted greater plant growth, increased biomass and root volume, and reduced the presence of pathogenic fungi associated with diseases, suggesting that this strategy may enhance maize productivity under adverse conditions.
Vermicomposts incorporated into the soil promote fruit development in vegetables. They also induce fruit set, which leads to increased crop yields. The present study was carried out aiming to know the influence of vermicompost (LB) and phytoregulator (AG) in the cultivation of zucchini, under shade house conditions. A...

Lettuce production faces challenges that require sustainable alternatives to improve productivity and crop quality. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of the combined application of hydroxyapatite nanoparticles (nHAp) and a chitin-based biostimulant (CB) on yield, phytochemical compounds, and enz...

Crotalaria juncea L. is a legume widely used for its high biomass production. Under late sowing conditions, limited thermal time availability may restrict crop growth, making crop spatial arrangement an important management factor for optimizing resource capture. This study evaluated the effects of sowing density and r...

Corn is Mexico’s most important crop, and in the Lerma-Toluca sub-basin, its production faces challenges due to climate change. The objective of this study was to estimate the productive potential of rainfed corn in the Lerma-Toluca sub-basin under current and future scenarios, considering two climate change pathways....

Rhizoctonia is an economically important disease in agricultural crops. The objective of this study was to evaluate the pathogenicity of Rhizoctonia species associated with potato, bean, and maize in original hosts and cross-inoculations. Twenty-four isolates were collected during the 2021–2022 fall-winter growing seas...
