We study fractional-Sobolev Tikhonov regularization for linear inverse problems on a bounded Lipschitz domain. The regularization penalty is generated by the restricted Dirichlet fractional Laplacian, and the associated variational problem is shown to admit a unique minimizer that depends Lipschitz continuously on the data. Identifying the positive self-adjoint operator $$A_s=I+(-\Delta)^s,\, D(A_s^{1/2})=H_0^s(\Omega),$$ we transform the problem isometrically into a classical Hilbert-space Tikhonov problem with observation operator $B=KA_s^{-1/2}$. This yields explicit mean-square error bounds and an order-optimal \emph{a priori} and \emph{a posteriori} parameter rules under H\"older-type source conditions. The framework is illustrated by partial observations and by the backward fractional heat equation. In the latter case, $$ B^*B=A_s^{-1}e^{-2tA_s}, $$ which permits a mode-wise description of the source condition, the singular-value decay, and the effective reconstruction bandwidth. We also study the local limit $s\to1^-$: after Bourgain--Brezis--Mironescu normalization, the fractional functionals $\Gamma$-converge in $L^2(\Omega)$ to the classical $H_0^1$-Tikhonov functional, and the corresponding minimizers converge strongly in $L^2(\Omega)$. Numerical experiments for the backward fractional heat problem illustrate the reconstruction procedure and the influence of the penalty order, and confirm the predicted mean-square convergence rate to within a few percent via Monte Carlo simulation, with Morozov's discrepancy principle attaining the same order-optimal rate a posteriori.
We study one-dimensional Jacobi operators of divergence-gradient type on $\ell^2(\mathbb{Z}_{\geq 0})$, with coefficients generated by the doubling map, $a_n(x)=a(2^n x \mathrm{mod} 1)$. For continuous positive sampling functions, we show that the almost-sure essential spectrum is an interval containing the bottom of the spectrum. Under the assumption $a\in C^1(\mathbb{T})$, we prove square-root asymptotics for the integrated density of states and obtain a small-energy expansion for the Lyapunov exponent as $E\to0^+$. The leading term of the Lyapunov exponent is linear and positive precisely under a nondegeneracy condition on the sampling function. In this case, we prove a large-deviation estimate for the transfer matrices with an explicit rate depending on $E$. As consequences, we obtain local H\"older continuity of the Lyapunov exponent and the integrated density of states near the bottom of the spectrum, as well as the Anderson localization. Some of these results extend the small-coupling results of Chulaevsky--Spencer and Bourgain--Schlag for Schr\"odinger operators generated by the doubling map to divergence-gradient type operators. The arguments adapt methods from those works, but require uniform control in the small-energy parameter and refined correlation estimates reflecting the divergence-gradient structure.
For a stochastic partial differential equation posed on a Gelfand triple and satisfying the fully local monotone conditions of R\"ockner, Shang and Zhang, we compute the logarithmic derivative of the law of the solution at a fixed time along a prescribed direction of the state space. The formula is intrinsic, being expressed through the Hilbert-Schmidt Malliavin derivative $\Phi_r = \mathcal{D}_r X(t)$ and the covariance $\gamma_t = \int_0^t \Phi_r \Phi_r^{*} \,\mathrm{d}r$ alone, so that neither the inversion of the first variation used in finite dimensions nor uniform Malliavin-Sobolev bounds on the Tikhonov family are called upon. It is obtained from an integration-by-parts identity on an abstract Hilbert space, a Moore-Penrose construction of a covering field on Wiener space, and a trace formula for the Tikhonov limit, specialised to the equation through the representation $\Phi_r = Y(t,r)\mathcal{B}(r,X(r))$ of the Malliavin derivative by the first variation; the stochastic $p$-Laplacian and the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equation are treated in detail. Beyond the variational class, a scalar reduction gives an integration-by-parts identity for the law of a pairing $\langle u(t),\varphi\rangle$ which passes to the renormalised limit for the singular equations of Bruned, Chandra, Chevyrev and Hairer, and which is represented by a logarithmic derivative under second-order Malliavin smoothness and negative-moment hypotheses.

In this paper, we prove a sharp Fefferman--Stein-type estimate for the fractional Schr\"odinger equation, which can be regarded as a generalized Strichartz estimate for data in the Fourier Lebesgue space $\widehat{L^p}$. Then, as an application of the Fefferman--Stein inequality and its off-diagonal generalization, we prove large data local well-posedness and small data global well-posedness results for the one dimensional fractional nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation with pure power nonlinearities in the homonegeneous and inhomogeneous Fourier--Sobolev spaces $\widehat{\dot{H}^s_p},\widehat{H^s_p}$. Solutions are established in $L_x^r(\mathbb{R} ;L^q_t(I))$ spaces in order to overcome the difficulty of a loss of derivatives in the standard Strichartz estimates.
We study regularity, Harnack inequalities, Liouville rigidity, and principal eigenvalues for viscosity solutions of singular or degenerate fully nonlinear elliptic equations $\Phi(x,|\nabla u|)F(D^2u)-H(x,\nabla u)+c(x)|u|^{i(\Phi)}u=h(x)$ in a bounded domain $\Omega$, where $\Phi$ describes the singular or degenerate dependence on the gradient and $H$ is a Hamiltonian. We first prove global $C^{1,\gamma}$ regularity for the Dirichlet problem without lower-order terms. The argument combines a global $L^\infty$ estimate from the Alexandroff--Bakelman--Pucci inequality, boundary barriers yielding a global Lipschitz bound, and a compactness-based iterative approximation scheme. We next establish an additive Harnack inequality for nonnegative viscosity solutions by sliding from below a cusp function of the form $-|x|^{1/2}$. Under an additional homogeneity assumption, this yields the classical Harnack inequality and Liouville-type theorems in $\mathbb{R}^n$. Finally, under suitable homogeneity and comparison assumptions, we develop a generalized Dirichlet principal-eigenvalue theory for the full operator. We prove the existence of principal eigenfunctions and characterize the associated eigenvalues through maximum and minimum principles. These results provide a unified framework for global regularity, Harnack estimates, Liouville rigidity, and principal eigenvalues for a broad class of singular and degenerate fully nonlinear equations with Hamiltonian terms.

We identify a common convexity structure for three exponential Dirichlet problems on smooth uniformly strictly convex domains: the Liouville equation $\Delta u=e^u$, the real equation $\sigma_2(D^2u)=e^{2u}$, and its complex counterpart $\sigma_2(u_{i\bar j})=e^{2u}$. In each case $u<0$ in the domain and $u=0$ on the boundary. We prove that \[ w=-\operatorname{arcosh}(e^{-u/2}) \] is strictly convex in the underlying real variables. The argument combines domain deformation, constant-rank theory, inverse-convexity estimates, radial ball models, boundary strict convexity, and local $C^2$ stability.
We consider the multi-dimensional Hamer model for radiating gases in its coupled hyperbolic--elliptic formulation. By means of energy estimates, we establish the global well-posedness for small initial data in hybrid Besov spaces with distinct regularity exponents at low and high frequencies. This framework enables us to relax the regularity assumptions required in \cite{Duan_Klem_Zhu_2010,Duan_Ruan_Zhu_2012}. In addition, we establish optimal time-decay estimates for solutions with initial data in the critical Besov space $\dot{B}_{2,\infty}^{-d/2}(\mathbb{R}^d)$, thus extending previous results obtained under the stronger assumption $L^1(\mathbb{R}^d)$. We discuss the optimality of these decay rates and derive improved decay rates under a zero-mass cancellation condition, corresponding to initial data in the larger negative Besov space $\dot B^{-d/2-1}_{2,\infty}(\mathbb R^d)$.
