Abstract

Digital transformation in Islamic education provides significant opportunities while simultaneously creating challenges in maintaining a balance between technological innovation and character value reinforcement. This study aims to analyze the management of digital technology utilization in optimizing the quality of Akidah Akhlak learning at MAN 1 Hulu Sungai Utara, focusing on planning, organizing, implementation, supervision, and implementation challenges. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving the principal, vice principal for curriculum affairs, Akidah Akhlak teachers, technology support personnel, and students. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that digital technology utilization at MAN 1 Hulu Sungai Utara is managed through a value-based approach. In the planning stage, technology is directed to support the development of students’ faith, morality, and character. The organizing process is implemented through clear role distribution and teacher capacity strengthening through collaboration and peer mentoring. The learning implementation integrates digital media, contextual discussions, creative projects, and value reflections that support the development of moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. Supervision is conducted continuously through academic monitoring, authentic assessment, and program improvement. The main challenges include differences in teachers’ digital competencies, limited access to technology, and the risk of distraction from gadget use. This study highlights that digital transformation in Akidah Akhlak learning requires a balance between technological innovation, educational management, teacher competence, and the sustainability of madrasah religious values.
