Abstract

This repository contains the author-created derived datasets and reproducibility materials supporting the systematic review “Systematic review: Gastric mucosal recovery and residual gastric cancer risk after successful Helicobacter pylori eradication”.The final review includes 205 reports representing 181 canonical study families and 916 extracted outcome rows. The repository contains study-level and outcome-level derived data, study-family mapping, design-specific JBI critical-appraisal profiles, GRADE assessments, overlap and independence adjudication, final meta-analysis input and summary data, PRISMA data and full-text exclusion-reason summaries, risk-stratification recoding, the complete search appendix, and reproducibility code. The principal targeted quantitative syntheses were: residual primary gastric-cancer risk (k=3; pooled HR 0.559, modified Hartung-Knapp 95% CI 0.163–1.922); histologic intestinal-metaplasia regression/resolution at 1–3 years (k=5; pooled proportion 44.5%, 95% CI 27.3%–63.2%); and secondary-prevention metachronous gastric cancer (k=4; pooled RR 0.462, 95% CI 0.244–0.874).PROSPERO registration: CRD420261509683.Raw PubMed, Embase, Scopus, and Web of Science database exports are not redistributed because database licence conditions may restrict redistribution. The deposited files contain author-created derived data and reproducibility materials only.

The impact of agile practices on communication in software development

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

Trajectory Balance: Improved Credit Assignment in GFlowNets

It is proved that any global minimizer of the trajectory balance objective can define a policy that samples exactly from the target distribution, and empirically demonstrate the benefits of the trajectories balance objective for GFlowNet convergence, diversity of generated samples, and robustness to long action sequenc...

What AI gets wrong and what failure teaches us

Jennifer Neville did not want to go into computer science—but that’s exactly where she landed. Neville discusses the starts and stops that led to her professional sweet spot and her work identifying “surprising failures” making it hard for AI to handle complexity.  The post What AI gets wrong and what failure teaches us appeared first on Microsoft Research.
