URSlab Website and Information System for Reporting the Publication Activity of a Scientific Department of BAS: Source Code
Abstract
Version 1.1.0 of the source code of the website of the Unmanned Robotic Systems Laboratory (URSlab), Institute of Robotics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (https://urs.ir.bas.bg). This version extends the website into an information system for recording, validating and reporting the publication activity of a scientific department of BAS. New in v1.1.0:- Yearly publication pages (2026, 2025, 2022–2024, up to 2021) replacing the former PDF lists; each publication is placed on the page of its publication year and categorised as in the BAS reporting system (WoS/Scopus quartiles Q1–Q4, SJR without quartile, ERIH+, international/national academic publisher, other databases, monographs, textbooks), with SJR, impact factor (JCR) and share of authors from the Institute.- Combinable filters by research area, topic, indexing/quartile, year and author, with a live reporting summary (number of publications, WoS/Scopus, quartiles, ΣSJR, ΣIF, DOI, institutional share), CSV export and print view.- A summary report for each team member, collecting all of the member's publications from the whole site without duplicates.- Entry of new publications by team members: a web form with APA-style author validation and contextual help; identity verified through the member's GitHub account; automatic server-side re-validation (GitHub Actions), storage in a data file and a pull request for approval by the head of the laboratory; pages for new years are generated automatically.- Research areas linked to the publications, with counts updated automatically.- A page on autonomous navigation with an interactive model of a coordinated turn between two geodesic orthodromes on the WGS 84 ellipsoid based on Kummer's confluent hypergeometric equation, together with the scientific and applied contributions.- A training guide for new team members (PowerPoint/PDF). Technology: Astro static site generator, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML canvas; bilingual (Bulgarian/English). A detailed list of changes is included in CHANGELOG.md.
