Research on economic sustainability has developed rapidly in the last two decades, reflecting global attention to the sustainability of economic development. This study aims to map the landscape of economic sustainability research through bibliometric analysis using the Scopus database in the 1990–2025 period. The analysis includes publication trends, journal sources, most productive writers and institutions, collaboration between countries, and the most commonly used keywords. Economic Sustainability is a keyword used in the title of the article to get metadata taken from the Bibliography Database of Scopus, on Friday, May 9, 2025, 11:40 AM. To develop the analysis, Bibliomagika® is used to conduct frequency analysis and for data visualization. The results showed significant growth in publications since 2019, with the dominance of research from developed countries, especially Italy, the United States, China, and the United Kingdom. In addition, a cluster of the main research themes was found, such as sustainable development, climate change, and circular economy. This finding is expected to provide important insights for academics, practitioners, and policymakers to understand the development of science and identify the potential for collaboration and the direction of future research.
The Blue Economy framework has been on the rise in promoting sustainability for economic development while preserving coastal and marine ecosystems. Regardless of the mounting academic research done, the broader study and thematic directions of Blue Economy are incoherent. The objective of this study is to map out the trends in publication, prevailing research themes and key contributors in Blue Economy using bibliometric analysis. Scopus databases were used to retrieve bibliometric data by using “blue economy” as keyword with English-language documents chosen to identify preferred documents. VOSviewer was used to analyse all 2,346 documents. This study has used descriptive analysis to examine the trend in publication and key contributors while to identify the thematic structure, the “co-occurrence” keyword analysis was employed. From the result, it implicates a steady development over the years in Blue Economy publication, indicating scholarly attention to the area. Four major thematic clusters emerge after analysing using co-occurrence keywords: ecosystems and environmental management, governance and sustainability, fisheries and aquaculture, marine renewable energy and ocean-based technologies as well as marine resource utilisation. Although this features the diverse discipline across Blue Economy, the results also indicate that integration across governance, environmental, technological, and livelihood-focused areas is limited. In general, this paper has offered a systematic review of the current state of Blue Economy research literature and has offered insights to aid further research and policy models on more comprehensive and inclusive marine development pathways.
This study aims to map and analyze the development of research on financial technology and economic sustainability in emerging economies using a bibliometric analysis approach. Bibliographic data were collected from the Scopus database covering publications from 2018 to 2025. A total of 101 documents were analyzed using Microsoft Excel, VOS viewer, and Harzing’s Publish or Perish to identify publication trends, dominant research themes, country contributions, and citation structures. The findings indicate that research on fintech and economic sustainability has experienced significant growth, particularly after 2023, reflecting increasing academic interest in digital financial transformation and sustainable development. The keyword co-occurrence analysis reveals that the dominant research themes include fintech, sustainability, financial inclusion, green finance, environmental sustainability, and digital innovation. Country analysis shows that China and India are the leading contributors to this research area, while citation analysis demonstrates that sustainability-oriented fintech studies, particularly those related to green finance and ESG practices, have become the most influential topics in recent literature. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing a comprehensive bibliometric mapping of fintech and sustainability research in emerging economies and offers useful insights for researchers, policymakers, and financial practitioners regarding future research directions and sustainable digital financial development.

The growing emphasis on sustainable development has intensified scholarly interest in understanding the relationship between renewable energy consumption and economic growth. While extensive empirical research exists, the intellectual structure, thematic evolution, and collaborative dynamics of this research domain remain fragmented. To address this gap, this study conducts a comprehensive scientometric analysis of global research on renewable energy consumption and economic growth using bibliographic data retrieved from the Scopus and Web of Science databases covering the period 2005–2024. A total of 2,548 publications were analyzed using Biblioshiny (R package: bibliometrix) and VOSviewer, applying classical scientometric laws (Bradford’s, Lotka’s, and Zipf’s) alongside science-mapping techniques. The findings reveal a sharp acceleration in research output after 2015, coinciding with the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals, with China emerging as the dominant contributor and a central hub of international collaboration. The analysis further identifies leading journals, highly cited publications, and a core group of prolific authors that shape the knowledge base of this field. The analysis further indicates a highly dispersed and interdisciplinary knowledge structure, reflected in a high Bradford multiplier, suggesting wide journal dispersion, alongside a concentrated core of prolific authors and evolving thematic patterns. By integrating the Theory–Context–Characteristics–Methodology (TCCM) framework, the study advances beyond descriptive mapping to provide a structured interpretation of theoretical foundations, methodological trends, and policy-relevant research gaps. The results offer valuable insights for researchers and policymakers by identifying underexplored regions, emerging themes, and opportunities for more integrative and impact-oriented research on renewable energy–led economic growth.
The United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda, bringing the concept of sustainability into the global economic discourse. Thus, the concept of sustainability and ESG metrics has become essential in corporate development strategies. The current research performs a bibliometric study of scientific publications dated from 2015 to 2026, with the aim of highlighting the evolution and the main trends and directions of development in the field. The study relies on a set of 9,460 documents indexed in the Web of Science database. Data analysis was conducted using the Bibliometrix software package (Biblioshiny interface), applying techniques for analyzing scientific output, thematic evolution, and strategic keyword mapping. The findings demonstrate an exponential growth in scientific production beginning in the 2021-2022 period. The research shows the high level of academic interest in general notion of social responsibility, its technical aspects, and quantifiable indicators, with reference to ESG performance, ESG scores, or risk. The study proves that the sustainability research field is gradually matured, and its key factors include the development of performance metrics. The study provides a reference framework for economic stakeholders as well as the academic community, emphasizing that the 2030 Agenda has succeeded in transforming sustainability from an ethical choice for companies into a measurable strategic objective.

This study provides a bibliometric overview of sustainable business research published between 2015 and 2025.
Bibliographic data were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection and included English-language articles and
review articles. Following data screening and cleaning, 4,317 publications were retained for analysis. Performance indicators
were combined with science mapping techniques using VOSviewer to examine publication growth, influential contributors,
international collaboration, thematic structure, and emerging research topics. Scientific production increased continuously
from 128 publications in 2015 to 831 publications in 2025, with nearly seventy percent of the documents published during
the final five years of the period. China recorded the largest publication output, while England displayed the strongest
overall international collaboration. The country co-authorship network included 51 countries organized into five clusters.
Keyword co-occurrence analysis identified 260 terms grouped into five interconnected thematic clusters addressing
organizational performance, corporate responsibility and governance, technological transformation, sustainable business
model innovation, and organizational capabilities. The temporal analysis revealed growing attention to environmental,
social, and governance practices, disclosure, digital transformation, dynamic capabilities, and small and medium-sized
enterprises. The findings demonstrate that sustainable business has developed into a rapidly expanding and internationally
connected research field that increasingly integrates strategic, technological, environmental, and organizational
perspectives.

This study aims to map global research trends on community economic empowerment through Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) using a bibliometric analysis approach. Data were obtained from the Scopus database comprising 102 unique articles published between 2022 and 2026. The analysis encompasses publication distribution by year, most-cited documents, countries with the highest productivity, dominant research themes, and mapping of the most frequently appearing keywords. Results indicate a significant surge in publications during 2025–2026, with dominant themes including women's economic empowerment, SME digitalization, sustainability, and financial inclusion. India and China emerged as the most productive countries, contributing 28 and 22 articles respectively. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the research landscape in economic empowerment and serves as a guide for researchers in identifying relevant research gaps for future investigation.
