Abstract
The study analyzes the potential of generative AI technologies to address students' individual learning needs, differentiate instructional materials, develop English language skills (lexical, grammatical, communicative, and receptive-productive), provide immediate feedback, and support independent learning. The methodological framework of the study comprises systemic, comparative, linguo-didactic, and modeling methods. The results indicate that generative AI tools create additional opportunities for transitioning from a "one-size-fits-all" assignment approach to an individualized and differentiated teaching model in inclusive English language education. At the same time, issues such as the accuracy of AI-generated content, academic integrity, data privacy, the risk of excessive student reliance on AI, and the maintenance of teacher oversight were identified as critical methodological considerations.
The method, ECCOLA, is presented, which aims at making the high-level AI ethics principles more practical, making it possible for developers to more easily implement them in practice.
