Abstract
Providing security, privacy, and integrity to sensitive medical data in the contemporary healthcare systems is an issue that is very pressing during the digital health age. The growing use of smart healthcare technologies, electronic health records (EHRs), and Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) devices has increased the alarm around unauthorized access to data, data manipulation, and centralized data management system single points of failure. In a bid to overcome these obstacles, this paper will present a decentralized and unalterable data sharing model based on blockchain technology to improve healthcare safety of smart devices. The suggested system will combine the immutable registry of blockchain, smart contracts, and cryptographic systems to provide secure, transparent, and auditable distribution of patient medical information among healthcare providers, patients, and authorized stakeholders. The structure has guaranteed that medical records are distributed in nature so that they are not dependent on centralized servers but still retain the data integrity with consensus-based validation. Smart contracts are used to control access to ensure that only authorized parties are allowed to access or edit patient information, as they are governed by set policies. Experimental analysis has shown that the proposed framework has a high level of integrity of data, resistance to tampering, and effective access control without significant transaction throughput and latency. The system offers a scalable and secure system to improve the data protection, patient privacy and confidence in smart healthcare systems.
High rate of digitalization of the healthcare systems has led to the creation of huge amounts of sensitive patient information that need to be safely disseminated among healthcare providers. Nevertheless, the use of the traditional centralized healthcare information systems is associated with major difficulties associa...
