Research on satellite-ground collaborative computing paradigm based on edge computing

Sep 2026 · Ninth Global Intelligent Industry Conference (GIIC 2026) · pp. 38

Abstract

In the fields of emergency communication and disaster rescue, satellite plays a pivotal role due to its extensive coverage and robust resistance to damage, serving as a critical support mechanism in extreme environments. However, the traditional satellite data processing paradigm exhibits significant limitations in terms of real-time performance and task scheduling, failing to meet the stringent requirements for high-speed response and flexible task management in disaster relief scenarios. To address these challenges, this study proposes a satellite-ground collaborative computing paradigm based on edge computing. The research begins with the design of a satellite-ground collaborative computing architecture, adopting a core framework of "terminal perception - edge computing - cloud center control" . Subsequently, the study delves into the key technologies and mechanisms of satellite-ground collaborative computing, including lightweight edge computing techniques, federated learning technologies, and resource scheduling management as well as task allocation mechanisms. Finally, the research examines typical application scenarios, designing collaborative templates tailored to different core requirements. Through a systematic approach of "classification - matching - evaluation - adjustment," the study achieves optimal alignment between technical combinations and scenario demands. Through this research, the study lays the theoretical foundation and technical framework for constructing a low-latency, high-reliability, and intelligent satellite-ground collaborative computing system.

The impact of agile practices on communication in software development

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.
