Comparative analysis of non-synonymous-to-synonymous substitution rate (Ka/Ks) ratios across divergent species revealed that the mitochondrial genome of P. arundinacea underwent stabilizing evolutionary dynamics, characterized by predominant purifying selection with several lineage-specific variations in selective pressure.
