BIMScript: Material-Aware Structured Scene Programs for BIM Ingestion

Structured-language models such as SceneScript reconstruct a scene as a short program of parametric commands, an inherently editable and semantically explicit representation. We ask three questions that stand between such models and their most compelling application, automated ingestion of existing buildings into BIM tools, studied here on synthetic scans: \emph{what} is the scene made of, \emph{how fast} can it be produced, and \emph{exactly where} is each element. BIMScript answers all three within one grammar. First, we extend the layout language with per-element \emph{material} and \emph{condition} attributes, supervised by a vision-language-model material-passport corpus we build over 100k synthetic scenes (1.9M pseudo-labeled elements), and route image appearance to the material tokens through a lifted-feature point encoder. Second, we show that autoregressive decoding of these programs is dominated not by compute but by kernel-launch and host-synchronization overhead, and remove it with an output-exact CUDA-graph decoder (1.9 vs 6.4\,ms/step, $3.4\times$) plus a grammar-parallel, tolerance-verified draft-and-verify scheme that exploits the deterministic entity schema. Third, we address the model's 5cm token-grid granularity with training-free geometric snapping and a hybrid discrete--continuous decoder head that regresses a sub-bin offset, and measure how much of the residual error each recovers. Because each command maps one-to-one onto a native Revit object, we validate direct ingestion into a BIM authoring tool end to end with a working add-in and its IFC4 export, and the same program's language form is designed to support LLM-driven, sustainability-aware reasoning over the built asset.

QUEST: A Query and Extraction System for Topics in Asylum Law Application Decisions

Legal decisions on asylum applications consist of long, complex, and heterogeneous documents, covering narrative applicant interviews, original decisions, and additional supporting materials. If an application is rejected, a critical question in processing an appeal is whether the credibility of the information in the original application was a factor that determined the original decision. In this paper, we present the QUEST system (Query and Extraction System for Topics) to extract and identify factors relating to credibility assessments in two datasets of Danish asylum application appeals. QUEST frames this problem as an information retrieval task, combining synthetic query generation, topic extraction, and relevance assessment to identify information related to credibility indicators in appeals board application materials. In addition to standard retrieval evaluation metrics, we propose a new type of domain-specific assessments distinct from the traditional relevance to evaluate the performance of the tested systems with respect to credibility factors. In this way, we obtain insights about how well automatic methods can return answers for different types of indicators appearing in asylum appeals. Our results indicate that there is an increased challenge when estimating performance using credibility-based relevance assessments, thus pointing to the difficulty of the task.

SoccerNet 2026 Challenges Results

The SoccerNet 2026 Challenges constitute the sixth annual edition of the SoccerNet open benchmarking effort, dedicated to advancing computer vision research in sports video understanding. This year's challenges span five vision-based tasks: (1) Ball Action Anticipation, predicting the timing and class of ball-related actions within a short future window from a preceding observation window; (2) Player-Centric Ball Action Spotting, temporally localizing and classifying ball-related actions while assigning each action to the acting player through team affiliation and jersey number; (3) Novel View Synthesis, rendering images from unobserved camera poses in multi-view football scenes; (4) Spiideo SoccerNet Synloc, localizing athletes in real-world pitch coordinates from a single calibrated static-camera image; and (5) Visual Question Answering, answering multiple-choice questions about football broadcasts across text, image, and video inputs. For each task, participants were provided with annotated data, a unified evaluation protocol, and a public baseline. This edition saw broad participation, with 427 teams submitting 1,129 entries across the five tasks and 28 teams contributing reviewed technical reports. This paper describes each task and its evaluation protocol, presents the challenge leaderboards, and summarizes the leading submissions, with the aim of documenting the current state of each task as measured on held-out challenge data.
