A novel hydrogel kit integrating photonic crystals (PCs) and DNA-AgNCs for portable detection of miRNA-21 facilitates facile miRNA-21 detection, overcomes the drawbacks of conventional approaches, and holds considerable promise for clinical tumor diagnostic applications.
