An N-acetyltransferase influences AreA nuclear localization and nitrogen utilization in the basidiomycete Ganoderma lucidum.

Nitrogen metabolism is fundamental to fungal growth, development, and the biosynthesis of bioactive metabolites. The GATA transcription factor AreA plays a pivotal regulatory role in nitrogen metabolite repression. While the molecular mechanisms by which AreA responds to nitrogen sources have been relatively well eluci...

The FAP transcription factor affects the fruiting body development and toughness of Flammulina filiformis by regulating the ROS signaling.

FAP controls intracellular ROS levels by regulating ROS metabolic enzymes, thereby indirectly suppressing chitin synthesis and ultimately reducing mechanical strength in F. filiformis, providing a novel scheme for texture improvement in edible fungi.

Heat stress-induced degradation of glutamine synthetase rebalances central carbon-nitrogen metabolism and promotes thermotolerance in Ganoderma lucidum

G glutamine synthetase (GS) is degraded by the ubiquitin-proteasome system and that this degradation acts as a metabolic switch to enhance thermotolerance in Ganoderma lucidum, highlighting a direct and rapid link between metabolic flux and thermotolerance.
