Robust taxonomic classification in gut and vaginal microbiomes demonstrated through benchmarking with age-specific synthetic communities
Age- and body site-stratified synthetic metagenomes are developed, enabling context-aware benchmarking of microbiome pipelines, and clear precision-recall trade-offs in metagenomic profiling are demonstrated.
