How Display Layouts and Display Count Affect Visual Search and Spatial Memory in Augmented Reality Workspaces

Primary participant-level analyses show that display count is the dominant factor, severely degrading performance and increasing workload, and layout effects are secondary but become critical under high density, where spherical and stacked arrangements introduce significant performance and physical trade-offs.
