This work compares five deep convolutional neural networks, namely LeNet5, AlexNet, VGG16, ResNet-50 and a hybrid LSTM-CNN and a hybrid LSTM-CNN, on the task of separating normal from abnormal heart sounds, and reports accuracy, AUC, sensitivity, specificity, F1 score and the Matthews correlation coefficient.

: The increasing trend of phishing sites is among the important threats against the Internet security, associated with monetary loss, data leakage, and identity swindle. In response to this urgent problem, this paper proposes a new phishing website detection framework based on the Modified Differential Evolution (mDE)...

Misinformation spreads rapidly through online social networks, causing measurable harm to public health and undermining democratic discourse. The Influence Minimization problem, selecting nodes to immunise in order to contain such spread, is the structural inverse of the widely studied Influence Maximization proble...

The Narwhal Optimization Algorithm is a recent swarm metaheuristic that, like most population-based optimisers, is prone to premature convergence, is sensitive to random initialisation, and relies on a rigid, schedule-driven exploration–exploitation balance. This paper develops and rigorously evaluates two enhanced v...
